| "Where Did My Paycheck Go?" Challenge Rules Official Contest Rules for the “Where Did My Paycheck Go?” Challenge Please read the Official Contest Rules and the Terms & Conditions of Participation before participating:
1. ELIGIBILITY: The “Where Did My Paycheck Go?” Challenge (“Contest”) is only open and offered to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is greater) or older. Void where prohibited. Employees, officers and directors of the LIFE Foundation (“Sponsor”) and their immediate families (children, spouse, parents, siblings) and those living in their same households, whether or not related, are not eligible. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
2. CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest begins at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) on May 1, 2010 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on May 31, 2010 (the “Contest Period”). LIFE reserves the right to adjust any deadline(s) as the result of causes beyond its immediate control.
3. TO ENTER: You will rank a list of seven (7) categories of household expenditures: clothing, entertainment, food, health care, housing, insurance/pensions and transportation, according to which one you spend the most money on during a typical calendar year (number 1) to the one you spend the least money on (number 7). Your results (“Entry”) will not be judged. There is no cost to participate.
4. YOUR RIGHTS: Your personal information will not be maintained or stored in any form after the Contest has officially ended and a Winner has been selected and notified.
5. JUDGING: Your entry will not be judged. One (1) Winner will be chosen at random by Sponsor on or about June 15, 2010 from among the pool of eligible entries. The potential winner will be notified via email to the email address submitted with the potential winner’s entry within two (2) weeks after the drawing. Sponsor’s decisions on all matters relating to the Contest shall be final and binding. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, award the applicable prize to an alternate winner selected at random. Any return of prize notification or prize email as undeliverable will result in forfeiture of any prize and an alternate winner may, at Sponsor's discretion, be randomly selected.
6. PRIZE: One (1) Winner, as determined by Sponsor, will receive one (1) $1,000 American Express gift card (“Prize”). The Winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes associated with his/her Prize. The Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer the Prize or redeem the Prize for cash, but LIFE reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a Prize of equal or greater value.

Terms and Conditions of Participation
By entering, participants agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the LIFE Foundation (“Sponsor”), its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents and representatives, from any and all third-party liability for any injuries, loss, claim, action, demand or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the competition (collectively, "Losses"), including, without limitation, any third-party claim for copyright infringement or a violation of an individual’s right to privacy and/or publicity right. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.
Each participant in the Contest (each a “Participant”) is responsible for ensuring that he or she has the right to submit his or her entry to the Contest per these rules (see additional “Compliance Alert” below).
The Winner must provide his or her name, address, and Social Security number to Sponsor, and is responsible for payment of all income taxes due on account of his or her receipt of a prize.
You agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved with Sponsor, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, before a court of competent jurisdiction located in Arlington, Virginia, which court shall apply the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without regard for rules of conflicts of law. IN ANY SUCH DISPUTE, PARTICIPANT SHALL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ATTORNEYS' FEES, OR ANY DAMAGES OTHER THAN PARTICIPANT'S ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES (IF ANY) ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR INCREASED. The Contest and LIFE’s website are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied.
Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions to the Contest. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer equipment, servers, providers, computer on-line systems, software, or failure of email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, including injury or damage to participant’s or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or uploading information in the Contest.
If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of completion as planned, including, but not limited to, any reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the photo competition, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
COMPLIANCE ALERT: Before entering the “Where Did My Paycheck Go?” Challenge or encouraging clients and prospective clients to enter, please check with the companies with which you do business to find out if policies exist that prohibit your participation in promotions of this nature.
